The Letter I and Illustration Friday ~ I SPY

I hope it's not too much of a stretch to double another letter posting with this week's Illustration Friday challenge, "I Spy." This pattern is based on traditional American quilt blocks.

Colored pencils.

Amy - you have such an amazing talent for pattern and color, and your precision is really fine! This is yet another wonderful letter for your alphabet. I hope when you have it all finished, you'll post it as a whole. It would be great to see all the letters together!

Amy, I love the patterns and colours! All the letters are really great. I wanted to say something about the one I like best but I simply couldn't choose. I agree with Carla - it would be really great to see them all together.

This one's beautiful, too! I love your attention to not just detail but geometry. And I love working with colored pencil, don't you?

I especially like this one. what are you going to write with them when they are done???

so far you could write "I DID DICE A BIG EGG." (or probably something even more fascinating if that's possible)
