I have been doing pro-bono work for the Jersey Shore Animal Center for over three years. In addition to their newsletter, I also design pieces for fundraisers, including this program cover for a wine tasting benefit. I'm always glad I can use my skills to help homeless animals.

awww...that's so nice, amy! lovely!
Way to go Amy! It's good to see an artist's hand in helping the less fortunate, be it man or beast.

Great illustration for a great cause.

i love the dogs expression best.
ariel
great job helping the needy animals (rescue pets are the best). the dog in the bow tie looks like he knows how to enjoy himself!
I just love this! I always feel like my animals are really people...either enchanted or reincarnated...so it's fun to see a picture of animals acting like people. They're both quite sophisticated, too! You really have the best style...it has such a great vinatge look, but it's totally your own. I think it's great that you do work for the animal shelter... very "helpful" for a good cause:>
What a wonderful gift especially to the furry beings that need a voice! Have a beautiful holiday!!!
wonderful! guess this lovely illo would be also perfect for this week's topic (peace...) thank you for all your kind comments...happy holidays to you too!
:)
Hey Amy. Jersey shore, huh? I grew up in Lincroft and lived in Ocean grove for 11 years too. I miss the shore. In South Jersey, it's a least an hour trip to the closest (Ocean City) shore. And with gas prices, arrrrrh! Anyway, I cracked up at your wine bibbing pets. I've seen my two cats on nip and can't imagine thier behavior on alcohol. It would be entertaining though. Nice job. It makes me sad to think of homeless pets especially on the holidays.
Great work Amy! Happy Holidays
Wow, you really nailed the dog and the cat on this one, Amy. beautiful illustration. I can see how much work you put into it. I've enjoyed the comment exchanges with you this year. Happy Holidays from our house to yours, and from Mrs. T too.
These animals don't look "homeless." The cat looks like it's into big business and is getting a decent sized tax break. And the dog appears to be doing quite well in the private sector.
Juuuuuuust kiddin'. ;) Help those lil lost creatures. Great illo as always Amy Zed. (I love the fonts too).
Happy Hols!
Amy. The Tillie shot was unbelievable timing. We went to Ocean Grove one day on a whim just to walk around the old stomping grounds and I wanted to head over to AP to take some grungy photos. As sad as it is, I love the decaying town and all the artsy broken down stuff. The day the shot was taken was the last weekend Tillie was there before the tear down. I will always treasure the shots I took that day. Asbury Park has holds many great memories for me.
You have a wonderful Christmas.
This is a wonderful illustration of the high society elite dogs and cats giving back to their less fortunate furry friends. Sweet and well done, and nice type design!
ciao amy, thanks for your new comment on "himalayas"...I appreciate it very much...so merry christmas!!!
