I like this one a lot. The tilt of the woman's head tells the story of her anxiousness of bidding goodbye to her husband (or son or brother or lover or father). New England whaler going off to sea, yes?
Oh...I guess I missed these! There were so many entries last week - almost 600! I just didn't have enough time to look through very thoroughly. Anyway, I love this...it's romantic, like a story, and it is so effective with the rope border. I just love the scope of styles you have.
BTW, I use Adobe GoLive CS2 for my website. I've been using GoLive for several years and recently upgraded all my Adobe programs to CS2 - it has so many great features. If you're a student or teacher (or if you know someone who is), you can get it at a very significant discount at Academic Superstore. Good luck:>

Awesome!! I can see this in a children's book about sailing to the New World! Beautiful!
Very nice. I love how you have used the rope to frame everything. Excellent detail.
This is a lovely piece. I'm hoping her loved one is returning rather than leaving.
I dig it, It reminds me of the artwork for the decemberists records.
